The National Basketball Association is adopting a stricter policy regarding wearing face masks among players and coaches.
According to the Associated Press information, players are required to wear a face mask on the bench. The only time they will remove the mask is when they will enter the playing court.
The decision was handed down after Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets got exposed outside. He has to undergo seven-day quarantine, which will make him miss three games.
The only additional policy the league has adopted to maintain the players’ better safety as the country’s cases rose during the recent holidays.
While outside of the facility, players must report the person they are with during their training. It will help the league to monitor the players and trace possible cases faster.
