WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney is ready to put his belt on the line to make the undisputed title match against the unified champion Teofimo Lopez.
Haney wants it sooner than later as he believes that his mandatory challenger Ryan Garcia will pull out even the WBC ordered the fight.
The 22-year old champ has yet to taste a defeat after 22 matches in which 15 of those came via knockout victories.
Despite not being under the Mayweather Promotions, Haney has been receiving pieces of advice and learning from Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself.
Floyd told that he’s helping Haney as a fellow brother. And this could also lead to a battle of the best fighters involving Mayweather. Devin Haney vs Gervonta Davis.
The lightweight division is full of highly anticipated boxers as most of them have not been defeated in the professional career.
Lopez, who stunned Vasily Lomachenko, became the youngest unified champion in the history of boxing.
He has a current record of 16 wins including 12 knockouts.
If both agreed to have an undisputed match, 2021, will feature two possible undisputed matches. The other is the Tyson Fury- Anthony Joshua bout.
