After a successful resume inside the bubble, NBA teams set their eyes on the market for free agencies.
However, one of the biggest free agent, Anthony Davis, is reportedly opting out. This means he will likely re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers in a bid to defend their throne and make it back-to-back.
Davis has been a crucial addition to the Lakers after the arrival of LeBron James.
The former number 1 overall pick of the New Orleans Pelicans completed the rebuild of the franchise.
His first year wearing the purple and gold jerseys was merely impressive. He was named an All-Star starter and was a member of the first All-Defensive Team for the season.
He also averaged 27.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Playing alongside James, they formed the best dynamic duo in the league that ended the LA drought.
Potential has yet to reach its climax for the 7-foot versatile superstar. He is in his prime while James remains at a high-level despite being in the father-prime.
Davis’s return will be a good sign for the Lakers, but several players had already declined to return.
Rajon Rondo, who played excellent in the playoffs, is reportedly going to the market as well as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
