The Philadelphia Sixers hit a rock early on the NBA restart after All-Star Ben Simmons injured his left knee and is out indefinitely.

Before the hiatus occurred, Simmons was the anchor of the Sixers’ offense averaging eight assists per game along with his 16.4 points per game and 7.8 rebounds. He is also leading the league in steal with 2.1 per game.

At the bubble, Simmons played the four spot instead of the point guard position, a change head coach Brett Brown made. While they have been seeing great result on practice, the new position for Simmons was immediately put to rest during the third quarter of their game against the Washington Wizards.

The team has yet to release the timetable for Simmons return and will likely to miss the first round of the playoffs which will begin on August 17.

Currently, they are the sixth seed with 41 wins and 27 losses.
