Boxer Billy Joe Saunders has been found guilty of misconduct on his uploaded video on social media teaching men on how to hit women.
The post was uploaded on March and after several hearings, the court handed Saunders guilty.
Although the WBO super middleweight champion apologised and pledged to donate to domestic abuse charities, the Britain’s boxing authorities still fined Saunders with 15,000 pounds or $19,000.
“Following consideration of Mr. Saunders’ explanation, the Stewards found Mr. Saunders guilty of misconduct and have fined him 15,000 pounds to be donated to charities,” said the BBBofC.
However, the suspension of his boxing license has been lifted. Saunders was supposed to fight the pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez but the date was pushed back due to the pandemic coronavirus.
