Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony reached another milestone on his stellar NBA career surpassing former Boston Celtics Paul Pierce for the 15th place in the all-time scoring list.
Anthony supported the 51 points performance of Damian Lillard with his 20 markers to propel the Blazers in keeping their playoff contention alive.
The climb in the scoring list of 35-year old was stopped for a year after being cut out by the Houston Rockets last season. Portland added the 6’8” veteran midway of the 2020 season as they struggle to pile up the wins due to several injuries. Carmelo then proved that he can still play at a high level and became a consistent source averaging 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder commended the milestone of his close friend which now has 26, 398 points and counting.
