Contrary to his earlier posts, John Riel Casimero will be staying in the United States to continue training until a fight is secured, report from the Manila Times said.

Sean Gibbons, President of MP Promotions seemed to convince Casimero to stay longer until they inked a fight with Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue.

The WBO bantamweight champion had unleashed his unpleasant feelings towards how the fight negotiation was progressing, especially for Bob Arum whom he said was just afraid of him.

With the decision to stay, Casimero will have to wait a little longer before seeing his beloved daughter, which was the reason he wanted to go back in the Philippines.

“If no Inoue fight in 2020, we need to make money. I am looking at a lot of options, but nothing [final] yet,” said the persistent Gibbons.
