LizQuen fans may seem to look forward with their idols’ newest and upcoming television series entitled as “Bagani” which Enrique considers as challenging yet a fun experience in his entire career.

This will be the two’s first action lead role after starring in romantic-comedy series and films such as Dolce Amore and My Ex and Why’s.

Enrique also shares their experiences and challenges that they have encountered while filming some fight scenes and stunts for Bagani.

“Sa Ilocos mainit. Naka-sandals lang kami so ‘yung buhangin mainit. Kapag nahuhulog kami, napapaso kami sa buhangin. And kapag sandals kasi, kapag tumatakbo ka sa buhangin, mas mahirap gumalaw. Parang work out na din ‘yun but it’s fun,” shared Enrique.

Most of the scenes were taken in the sand dunes of Ilocos Norte. As the actor recalls some of the scenes, he added that after combining all the scenes, without any expectations, they were shocked that it has resulted into a gorgeous-looking movie. However, Enrique just hopes that they will be able to sustain the goodness of the series they have created until the end of the show.

“May gusto lang kaming gawin so nag-tape lang kami. Nung lumabas, parang pati kami nagulat sa kinalabasan. Sana ma-sustain po namin para sa ating mga manonood,”

Enrique will give life to the character of Lakas, a local tribe warrior while Liza will be his lead actress as an archer named as Ganda.

The series will also star veteran actors such Albert Martinez, Diether Ocampo, Ryan Eigenmann, Dimples Romana, Christian Vasquez, Lito Pimentel, Ian Veneracion, and Robert Seña.

Part of the casts of Bagani will also include Matteo Guidicelli, Sofia Andres, and Makisig Morales. The roles for Sofia and Makisig were first given to Ylona Garcia but were later pulled off because of conflicting schedules.

The series will replace Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s La Luna Sangre.
