Potential top pick Jalen Green is reportedly skipping college for the NBA G-League in his chase for the NBA dream.
The Filipino-American baller has yet to sign in the G-League but the news was first reported by ESPN and was later confirmed by Evan Daniels, 247Sports Director of Recruiting.
The move made by the athletic cager was contrary to his earlier statement that he would go atleast one year in college before joining the NBA Draft.
G-League was also reported to willingly more money to sign five-star high schoolers to avoid them from going overseas like RJ Hampton and Lamelo Ball did.
Morever, Green’s decision earned support from his fellow Filipinos. He was in the Philippines for several times for the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) sponsored by the SM Group of Company.
The lanky high leaper earned respect and praises from the avid Pinoy fans where he was nicknamed the ‘unicorn.’
