LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Inking a title fight with the World Boxing Organization (WBO) World Bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero and World Boxing Association (WBA) Bantamweight titleholder Naoya Inoue is already making a blast in ticket sales ahead of their April 25th bout at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
“Tickets are unbelievably flying out,” Top Rank legendary promoter Bob Arum said in an exclusive interview.
“We have some fan base. There are 2,000 people they say are coming from Japan,” he added referring to the support for the Japanese superstar Inoue.
The unbeaten boxer hailed as the ‘monster’ previously overcame his Filipino idol Nonito ‘Flash’ Donaire via unanimous decision to pile up his wins to 19 including 16 knockouts and was later named as the Fight of the Year 2019 by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA).
Fresh from his biggest victory so far, Inoue signed a multi-year deal with Top Rank to be his co-promoter and eventually have his first bout in the US soil.
