LeBron James is undoubtedly going down as one of the greatest to play basketball and arguably the best to do it.
18 seasons after he first came into the league as the most anticipated rookie in history, James has tons of accolades across his name, including four NBA Championships, four Finals MVP, and four regular-season MVP.
His impact on the game can be felt around the game. However, there were many times James felt like he was not recognized fairly in terms of awards.
“I should have more than four, I believe. But I don’t, and I don’t sit around thinking about it or crying about it or whatever the case may be,” said the 36-year old James after putting another MVP-caliber performance.
“I bet a lot of the greatest that played this game feel like they should’ve had more as well if you ask any one of those guys.”
James is highly criticized and compared to the considered GOAT Michael Jordan. The ghost he’s been chasing from Chicago in terms of championships and MVP.
However, fellow Laker Kyle Kuzma backed James on the MVP debate.
“The NBA MVP is a very political award. Bron should have been the MVP at least eight, nine, 10 times. Everybody knows that” he said from ESPN.
