Despite the recent setback suffered by UFC superstar Conor McGregor inside the octagon against Dustin Poirier, the Irish remain confident that his fight against boxing living legend Manny Pacquiao will still happen.
This was after rumours circulated that their fight is now in vain after his first knockout loss.
“There are no damn leg kicks in boxing you know what I mean? I always did want to focus on my MMA career, but I’m also open,” said McGregor was hurt by Poirier’s leg kicks before eventually succumbing with his opponent’s boxing.
“Let us see what happens. I don’t know what will happen. That Manny [Pacquiao] fight was happening. It was as good as done.”
It was indeed as good as done as both camps expressed their interest in the fight. Pacquiao even signed under the same management handling McGregor, Paradigm Sports.
Now their fight is left on the hand of their management and the other opponents are already pushing themselves to catch the attention of the only eight-division world champion.
Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather Jr. butt into the conversation with McGregor but in a different topic.
Mayweather expressed himself and talked trash regarding the love and hate between him and the UFC fighter.
“see this post and my take on it is that the world knows Con Artist McLoser can steal everything from me and be loved I’m hated. Let just lets you all know that racism still exists,” the unbeaten American wrote on Instagram.
