Mikey Garcia remained persistent on getting the nod of Manny Pacquiao for a fight.
“I will be ready,” the American said after MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons stated that Pacquiao is open to entertain a fight.
Garcia told that the negotiation with the other camp was going smoothly even before the Jessie Vargas fight, however, the pandemic coronavirus shattered the momentum from both sides.
“It seemed like things were shaping up pretty well with Manny Pacquiao getting on board to maybe getting a fight with me. Things went south with the whole pandemic and everything had to wait.”
Garcia was eager to fight Pacquiao, the biggest fight he may ever have on his professional career.
However, the next opponent for Pacquiao remains an outline waiting to be unlocked.
