LOS ANGELES — Expect to see that one explosive punch to end the match between Errol Spence and Shawn Porter this coming weekend.
For his case though, Spence says he’d like to be the one standing when that hurtling shot flies spot on his opponent’s chin
Spence, sporting a clean 25-0 slate, made his mean intentions clear as he vowed he would knock Porter out “cold” come September 29 (Manila time) at the Staples Center here.
“I see Porter as food. I want to demolish him and send him back home to Las Vegas,” said Spence non-verbatim.
Porter sees this match as a launching pad towards a date with the biggest fish of them all in his division: Manny Pacquiao.
WBC champ Porter (30-2-1, 17 KOs), on the other hand, will look do the same thing to his IBF counterpart and a chance to got toe-to-toe with Manny.
Though if the betting odds were to be the judge, Las Vegas sees a clear winner.
Spence placed as a high as a -900 favorite at MGM sportsbook to start this week and has only come down slightly to -700.
Porter, meanwhile, is down to +450 after being around +575 a couple of days before.
