Even the biggest heavyweight rivalry in the recent memories was not spared by pandemic coronavirus as the trilogy of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder was pushed back in October the earliest, promoter Bob Arum said.

After humiliating the then WBC heavyweight champ, Wilder, he immediately called for a mandatory rematch in just a week. Fury’s mind was mutual with Wilder as both top-tier boxers agreed to have their third match-up that was initially scheduled on July 18.

However, due to the current chaos the world is battling to, Arum decided to move the match further.

He reasoned about the time left for the fight to be endorse and the boxers’ to train if the pandemic will eventually end in the coming months.
