Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez would gladly entertain a boxing match with MMA superstar Conor McGregor if ever he wanted to box again said Alvarez’s head trainer Eddi Reynoso.
Although the bout remains jusr an speculation, the camp revealed they will accept it whenever it pops up.
“Boxing is a business. Saul right now is the best fighter pound for pound and if McGregor jumps into boxing, then we are going to hit him,” Reynoso said from an interview with Boxing Scene.
Canelo recently clinched his fourth world title belt in different divisions after a vicious ninth round knockout against the former light heavyweight title-holder Sergey Kovalev.
Ranked as the top pound-for-pound boxer, Canelo and his group know that such fight will made money while also preserving his amazing professional career record of 53 wins, one defeat and two draws.
Currently at 29 years old, his prime, many are believing he will continue to be the face of the sports for the next five years.
