Eddie Reynoso, the trainer of the current pound-for-pound king of boxing Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, is confident that his four-division champ will destroy Gennady Golovkin once their trilogy knocks on reality.
Reports were released recently about their possible third meeting after Alvarez fight Billy Joe Saunders for the mandatory super middleweight title bout. However, Saunders’ boxing licensed got suspended and their match date was postponed due to the novel coronavirus.
“Without a doubt. If this fight happens, Canelo-Golovkin III, no doubt we’ll knock him out,” the certain Reynoso said.
They first fought in 2017 that ended in a controversial draw. The rematch went to Canelo to deal Golovkin’s first professional career defeat. Fans have been eager to see them fight once more as many are not yet convinced on whose better among the two middleweight superstars.
“We’ll look to take the fight to him like in the second one, from the start, try to push him back. But this time things are going to be very different. This time, we’re going to knock him out. That’s a promise to all the people who believe in us,” Reynoso added.
