“I’m big on new beginnings, and this is the time to start up a new time. I’m just looking forward to having a fresh start with the fans and show them my only dedication is to put another banner up here in Los Angeles,” he said.
And he hopes the Lakers fans, and the others intently eyeing his upcoming role with the franchise, will give him another shot.
Howard, the apparent proxy big man to the Lakers campaign as starting Center DeMarcus Cousins still sits out due to an injury, will make the most out of this opportunity. He will now be teaming up with Anthony Davis and LeBron James in a bid to cop his first NBA title since coming close to capturing a ring with the Orlando Magic.
“This is a very big blessing to re-sign with the Lakers,” he said
