Ignite has now, entered the bubble in Orlando, Florida as they prepare in the opening of NBA G-League season.
The team who will be coach by former Los Angeles Laker Brian Shaw will be bringing his boys, consist of young talents and prospects, to a whole new challenge as they step closer to their dream of making it to the NBA.
Among the big name in the roster are Filipino-American and a five-star recruit Jalen Green. Standing at 6-foot-5, Green is currently projected to be in the top 5 of next year’s draft.
They will face long time G-League squad Santa Cruz Warriors on the opening date on February 10.
Ignite has become a popular team after Green decided to skip college and play in the G-League. Following his step is pure Filipino Kai Sotto. The teen prodigy, was not with the team when they entered the bubble as Sotto made his commitment to the Philippine national team, Gilas Pilipinas.
It was a big decision to Sotto that he may not be able to play in G-League after his Gilas stint.
Nonetheless, Ignite respected Sotto’s decision and remains focused on their goal, to win in the upcoming NBA G-League season.
