Injury updates on NBA stars

With the NBA applying a tight schedule for every team in a compressed season with 72 games, injuries take their part to many players.

And these players, unfortunately, are all superstars.

Among them are the Los Angeles Laker’s central cores, Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

While Davis is already nearing his return after suffering a calf strain and Achilles tendinosis, he missed tons of games this season. He’s out for almost two months; meanwhile, his partner James had a high ankle sprain.

James remains indefinitely, but the Lakers announced earlier in the week that the 36-year old progressed to light work.

Damian Lillard

The Portland Trail Blazers franchise player is still out due to a hamstring injury. This timing is crucial for Portland, who is fighting for a playoff spot. Timetable for his return has yet to be released.

James Harden

Harden was playing like an MVP-caliber in Brooklyn. He has been on point and was already fitting well with the team until he injured his hamstring. Recent reports said that he is now back to square one after aggravating the injury.

Kevin Durant

The Nets are a super team, but their stars are very unhealthy this season. Durant, who made his season comeback after missing the entire 2020 season due to a ruptured Achilles, has played like he never left and was very efficient; however, he has become injury-prone. The latest was the thigh contusion that forced him to leave theirs against the Miami Heat. He remains uncertain for a full recovery come playoff time.
