The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have reached an agreement to hold the annual All-Star in Atlanta on March 7.
Unlike the previous events, this year will only be a one-day event instead of covering the weekend. An All-Star game and skills competition like slamdunk and three-point shootout will be the activities on the one-day event.
It will take place to a historically Black College or University (HBCU) but is still subject to change.
While both parties met the decision released, some players aired their say about the upcoming All-Star.
De’Aron Fox of the Sacramento Kings believe that it should not be held this year and he pointed out that money was the reason behind the agreement to continue the All-Star despite the current pandemic.
Nonetheless, the league has already started the voting for the All-Star. Although they have not informed yet on what would be the setup of the ASG.
The first canvassing of voting has yet to be released as well.
