The WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made a surprising revelation that he was receiving calls to fight the returning 53-year old Mike Tyson for an exhibition bout.
“Yeah, I had a phone call saying ‘would you like to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition fight?’ I was like ‘hell yeah!’” said Fury in an interview to Boxing Times.
The Gypsy King recently defeated Deontay Wilder via vicious TKO to claim the WBC belt and is initially to face Wilder for the third time but was postponed due to the pandemic.
On the other side, Mike Tyson has been attracting numerous names after announcing his comeback. He also unveiled his amazing body transformation since 2009 who has been going viral in the internet.
While pairing the two seems uneven, Fury said he will fight his ‘idol’ Tyson if the old guy wants to do so.
“But who am I to say anything, what anybody’s capable of? I wouldn’t try and kill anybody’s dreams.”
“If they’re both fit to fight, medically fit, then let them do what they want to do. It’s their life not mine,” he said.
