Vasyl Lomachenko is going for the undisputed lightweight title with extra motivation coming from his own foe, Teofimo Lopez.

Lopez and his father Teofimo Sr., has been calling out the Ukrainian pound-for-pound star since winning the IBF lightweight title at the age of 22.

Despite earning respect from Lomachenko who agreed for the fight, the WBA, WBO, and WBC champ countered the father-and-son prediction of knocking him out with these words.

“The interesting thing for me, it will be to look into his eyes and his father’s eyes and see their reaction, after the fight.”

Lomachenko has a current boxing record of 14 wins, 10 coming from knockouts and one defeat.

Meanwhile, the young breed is still undefeated with 15 wins on 12 knockouts.

Vasyl fought lesser despite a decade older than Lopez but has collected and dominated the lightweight for a while now.

The fight was supposed to be on May 30 but will be postponed and will take place later in the year.
