The World Boxing Council (WBC) has suspended its Clean Boxing Program amidst the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman called it off with reasons tying to the pandemic situation the United States and other countries are presently facing.

Sulaiman posted this on social media;

“WBC in agreement with VADA has temporarily suspended all Clean Boxing Program testing. It is not possible to collect samples as collectors and boxers must abide by current policies. We will evaluate conditions in 3 weeks.”

VADA is the overlooking body for the testing being conducted in the program.

All WBC champion and contenders are required to undergo testing in compliance and to secure a fair fight everytme.
